Each color is worked from a corner on the diagonal to a set number of stitches. As they merge, decreases are worked at each join spot with an increase set at the beginning or the end of the row so the stitch count remains the same. Watch the color move! The back also has a small and large section, but in reverse colors so the yarn in split evenly.
