Description

Help us bring some color and fun to the Arboretum in December. We're looking for crocheted flowers and stars to attach to netting and drape over shrubs. We just need people willing to help us make this vision a reality.

What we do or don't need: We would welcome more birds, but not pompoms. We kept those from last year, and may use them again, depending on how many flowers we get.

How to Participate: Work on your own (there are lots of free patterns online) or with friends or come to a free flower party at Great Yarns in Everett on October 17th from 2 to 4 p.m., or a November flower party in the Arboretum, date to be announced.

Supplies: In the spirit of recycling and reuse, this is a buy nothing event. Great Yarns will provide crochet hooks, a few patterns, and some leftovers they have in stock for the October event, but feel free to bring your stash. Bright colors are encouraged. Flowers can be as simple or as complicated as you like. Completed decorations can be left at Great Yarns.

When: We'll be hanging your creations in the Arboretum towards the end of November. We welcome your assistance with this. They will stay up through the month of December.

Questions or more information: Let us know what you're working on so we can add your email to the list to receive updated information about the event.
